I have a BA in Elementary education and an MS in Special education and will begin a PhD program in Education in fall 2021. I am both a certified teacher in the state of Pennsylvania and a Certified Professional Photographer with Professional Photographers of America. I have worked as a photographer for over 13 years and began teaching photography in my home studio in 2018. Now, I mentor aspiring photographers and teach photography online. I have worked in regular public school classrooms and taught English as a second language online.

My goal for all of my students is for them to find their own unique path with photography. Children and teenagers are so creative and I love showing them how to use photography to express themselves. My classes are all focused on hands-on learning and students will spend a lot of time taking and sharing their photos in class if they want to share.

What I didn't anticipate when I began teaching photography was how much my students would inspire my work. I enjoy seeing the risks they take as they explore the art and when my students can learn from observing their peers' photos. If you take any of my classes, I would love to see the photos that you take even days and weeks after class!

I believe we all have our own unique learning styles so my courses include many different ways to work with and understand each concept. I look forward to helping your child take better photos or learn how to use the manual settings on their cameras.
